A local business is
making the look and lifestyle of Napa, Calif. feel right at home in
Central Texas.
Julia Elam and Randolph
Phillips are Californians and now business partners.
"We just felt we'd bring
a little bit of
California to
Austin," Elam said.
They co-own
Napa Home located on Austin's South First Street. The store
offers beautiful and exclusive house wares.
Some of those exclusive
home products have a following. One line is called Olivina. It's a
body care line made from grape seed and olive oils.
"It's made from a very
small company in Napa Valley. We have women and men who come in and
buy this product four at a time. Once you've sampled it, you'll
understand why," Elam said. "Your skin feels wonderful."
Napa Home also offers an
exclusive line of porcelain china by American designer Marc
Blackwell.
Another exclusive line of
functional art is by Michael Aram.
"He makes things very
organic. And here we have some raw amethyst, jewels that are
inset," Phillips said.
Napa
Home also offers other exquisite furnishings for the home like silk
flowers that look real and bedding that's modern, but classic.
Napa Home is located just south of Barton Springs on South First
Street. The store offers a free gift-giving service for corporate
gifts, weddings and special occasions.
