Bastide soaps are triple milled with a base of palm and almond
oils. This means that "paste" that is used to create the soap
is mixed three times with the fragrance. This ensures that the
bar will be long lasting with a very creamy lather, and that
the fragrance will be evenly distributed throughout the life
of the soap. The Fig Tree Soap, a rich chocolate brown, is
called an extruded soap. This means that it is extruded from a
machine, cut, embossed, and aged. It is dyed with a
vegetable-based food dye.
